Trees are ready for the scorching summer ahead; the leaves turning yellow, orange, red and then shed, the last of the flowers are dropping off. Up above, the bare branches of the rain trees in Koramangala are are biding their time while the relentless Bangalore traffic crawls below.

Sunday morning and we are heading out for breakfast to a popular place called Hole in the Wall in Koramangala. We reach the restaurant by 9:00 am and register for a table; we are no.4 in the queue. That’s okay actually, people are still pouring in. It’s been a long while since our last visit here; pre-pandemic was the last time. Their dog-eared menu is from pre-pandemic and that means they still have the same prices and inflation is yet to catch up π
The music is nice; the decor still the same and food !? There were a few hits and misses…

There were fresh juices and we tried the mango π₯; was good. The other drink was strawberry lemonade π₯€; lovely colour π.

The dishes we tried were – Beefy Beans, minced meat and baked beans poured over two slice of bread; was okay. The Liver on Toast was a disappointment, two slices of bread topped with a mountain of onions and mushroom and maybe bits of the liver pieces.

The Sunday Non-veg dish came straight out of the oven and piping hot; it had eggs and chicken sausage baked. It was good.
The most memorable dish was the waffles with strawberry and custard. It was yummy; the red strawberries were tangy and scooped with the sweet custard atop a slice of the soft waffles was heavenly !!

The crowd outside just keeps getting bigger with each passing minute; so eat, pay and leave to let others enjoy a bite too. The number of takeaways being ordered are a record in itself. The place is still popular as before !!
Till next post, take care !!
