It’s the weekend before Valentine’s Day; some shop windows display red balloons and heart shaped cut outs to mark the occasion; for him and her ๐.
We ventured to Church Street to see if we can sell some old books at the second hand bookshop. Their quoted price was very low and no cash offered; in exchange we could take books totalling to the selling price๐. We accepted; there is no point in holding onto books you will never read; just occupies space and gathers dust; they may be more useful to someone else.
Lunch next and Lavonne on St Mark’s Road was the place ๐ฝ It’s a familiar menu and comforting, delicious food.

Outside, the city is covered in dust; the people are all moving about wearing masks; this helps with the dual purpose of keeping both the virus and the dust at bay. The trees lining the roads wear a uniform weary look too, both the bark and the leaves are brown. The bougainvillea seems to be the only splash of colour around, enjoying the dry weather. We need the rains….
Till next post, take care !!
