Bangalore airport can rival any mall in the city during the holiday season🎄. The queue outside the departure terminal was thick and long; will we make it to the departure gate on time !? 24 Dec, we arrived at the airport by 7:30 am, our Indigo flight to Kochi was at 9:30 am.

We joined the queue; zig-zagged our way to the entry gates and into the airport terminal; printed out the check-in baggage tag. Luckily the check-in baggage was whisked away by the airline staff and we rushed to the security check. That process too went off smoothly and much faster than we anticipated. Even the security personnel were taken aback by the large crowd. All Bangaloreans want to get out of the city for the holidays; get together with family or be off on a holiday to new surroundings🏖.

It was only 8:15 am by now and we had time for breakfast☕️. The good thing about the Bangalore airport is the many restaurants it houses and our breakfast of Masala Dosa and Vada was at the Tiffin Center.

The rest of the journey was uneventful. From the airplane, Karnataka seems to be composed of rectangular and square plots, red soil and green cover. Kochi had a cover of green interspersed with buildings.

We flew over the mountains, Western Ghats and landed in Kochi. Flying is always joyful and the scene outside the airplane window never ceases to amaze and always warrants a click 📸
