It’s been a while since our last visit to Church Street and this cloudy Sunday seemed apt for a revisit. I had made a list of the books I wanted to read; deliberately avoided ordering them from Amazon just so that I have an excuse to go and browse at the bookstore😌
And so Blossom Book House on Church Street was the first stop. I didn’t find all the books on my list and to make up the total number I added some impulse picks too; every title looks so promising ! 📚
Next was food 😋 and the place we had in mind was Lavonne – a patisserie and cafe on St. Mark’s road. It was a 10 min walk from Church Street. The cool weather and the canopy of the majestic trees at the city center made it a pleasant excursion.
Lavonne was ready and decorated for Xmas ✨After admiring the stunningly beautiful array of desserts on display, we chose our meal.

We tried the Sourdough toast with cream cheese, bacon and halved eggs. It arrived picture perfect and tasted yum 😋 !

Burgers are hard to resist and we ordered a Cheeseburger with bacon and fried eggs 🍔. The burger was melt in the mouth and fries that came along were perfect with a dusting of chilli 🌶. Fresh orange juice has to be mentioned, it was refreshing !

For dessert, it was very difficult to decide; only consolation was that we can come back again to try out the other pretty things 😉 And so it was their Signature Chocolate Cake. It looked stunning and tasted heavenly. We also tried the Cinnamon rolls, nice !

A charming place with fabulous food; you only need to find a reason to indulge, a sunday brunch is a good reason as any 😊.
Till next post, take care !!
