The days are bright and sunny; not too hot and it rains sometimes late in the evening and at night. So pleasant weather in Bangalore. My pink pathumani poov (10 O’ clock flower) is the prettiest and brightest looking life around the house. It makes me happy !

We had guests over for lunch on Saturday; a simple homemade meal of Kerala dishes. The menu ran as follows –
Weekend lunch ๐
Palappam & chicken stew
Jeera rice
Prawns curry
Mutton cutlets
Beetroot & carrot thoran
Haricot beans & coconut pieces mezhukku
Raita
BR Ice cream

It’s soon going to be Diwali and newspapers are full of ads enticing people to shop; and if you step into a mall, the mood is infectious. I like making changes around the house once every month; it adds some newness and the change is refreshing. A recent purchase, were these pretty cotton cushion covers from Fabindia๐; looks colourful for Diwali !

A new dish for me during the week was Chicken Tikka Masala (Dry). It is easy and very tasty. Three simple steps, clean the boneless chicken pieces, marinate & fry. The marinate consists of curd, lemon juice, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, crushed jeera and salt.

Last is a picture of the sky in my part of the world. It’s just not the flowers, other aspects of nature are pretty too, just need to take time out to notice and appreciate – just my learning ๐

Till next post, take care !!
