The hibiscus is so common that it doesn’t get a second look (from me !). They are planted and shaped as hedges around our apartment complex. They seem to have no complaints; they just grow back after being trimmed. The leaves are always glossy and green and the flowers are in pretty colours – red, pink, some even with striations.

The rain drops made them more endearing than usual and this one looked enigmatically pretty. Blessed is equated to being joyful and happy. This flower seems to be just that and it made me feel the same too !
