POTD: August blooms 🧡

Angel’s Trumpets (Brugmansia versicolor)

While father and son were parking the car and figuring out the online pay and park mechanism at the Museum Cross Road in Bangalore; I was drawn to these downward drooping pastel orange coloured flowers on the boundary wall of a nearby building. Why are they facing down and the colour is so pretty 🧡. Till now I have noticed only the small yellow trumpet flowers, that are widely seen everywhere in Bangalore. These orange flowers are huge !

Looking up on the net, they are called Angel’s Trumpets and native to South America (Ecuador). The name is apt and they are very pretty.

It’s a new flower for me, beyond the garden of my apartment complex. I may have seen such delights before and failed to notice them. Writing helps you see more and appreciate the new and that is definitely one of the perks of having a blog.
