What’s news !? Rains โ๏ธ
The weather in Bangalore is dreamy. The lockdown here has been lifted and under the erstwhile normal we should be stepping out to explore the city esp. during the weekends; but not so much now. Surprisingly, we are still content to remain at home !
The home deliveries have been on a frenzy lately; we received a big carton of homegrown mangoes from a friend via Dunzo. Not sure about the name and what’s unusual about them is that the skin outside remains green, even after it has completely ripened, maybe a hint of yellow. Usually the ripe mangoes turn orange, but not this variety ๐ฅญ ! This is probably our last of the mangoes for 2021 !

Moving on; much to my delight, Ikea has started home deliveries to Bangalore and I jumped on the chance to order a few stuff on their website, that I missed on our Hyderabad Ikea trip ๐ Delightfully Ikea ๐ต And they arrived ๐ !!

Next major event was a dinner at my cousin’s place to celebrate a graduation, a birthday and a retirement. My cousin made an elaborate dinner and here’s her dinner party menu:
Starters – Chicken momos with chilli sauce, Chicken sausage & Chaat ๐
The chaat had a healthy twist to it, she added sprouts too !

Main course – Steamed plain rice, Chilli fish, Noodles, Beef stroganoff & Sheperd’s pie ๐ค

She ticked on all boxes in terms of non-veg ๐
Dessert was a blueberry glazed vanilla layered cake ๐. It was a birthday !

Once we ventured out to the local shop for groceries and bought these elegant lucky bamboo stems. They look perfect with the kink in their long slender stems ๐. The white vase is from Ikea ๐.

The post started with rain so to end with rain โ๏ธ, the perfect snack for a rainy evening will be the spicy Kerala mixture ๐

Till next post, take care !!
