My folks at home in Kerala reported incessant rains from yesterday morning, 14 May Friday and it’s still raining there today also. The reason is a depression and low pressure over the Arabian sea that could potentially be a cyclone (named Tauktae) in the making.

The rains though are providing a welcome relief from the heat in Kerala. Every time I hear that it is raining in Kerala, I want to know about the water levels in the river opposite our home. Has it risen? Yes it has and my father has sent some pics !! I love the picture of the river with the silver sheet of rain on it’s surface. It’s one of my favourite memories of home 😘

Meanwhile the monsoons are already on their way, ready to break over Kerala by the end of the month 🌦🌦. Lovely !!
