We were out about the city in the weekend and above is a photo of the HAL road in Bangalore. The sight of tall trees on either side, their canopies forming a green tunnel is a beautiful sight; we are in the Garden City indeed !!

10 days to Christmas and soon a new year !! I needed to get two essentials for the new year – a planner and a calendar for 2020. Spread over 4 floors, the Swapna bookstore in Indiranagar is a haven for stationery lovers and that’s where we are headed. Plenty to choose from.

Post the stationery shopping, we head to Cafe Kaara for lunch. It is a small charming eating joint in Ulsoor and on Sunday afternoon it was a picture perfect setting. No loud music, no garish decor but peace and quiet, serving delicious food. It’s the kind of place you want to go to to have a meal in the company of one.

The jackfruit tree is the centrepiece; at night, with the lights, the place would look even more quaint and pretty.
