What is your Titan story ?⌚️💎

“When you buy the jewellery, can I have the Tanishq box?”😊 I remember one of my ex-colleague’s remarks about Tanishq jewellery. The burgundy jewellery box is pretty and the jewellery – absolutely gorgeous. The jewellery designs Tanishq produces are beautiful and each piece is assured to earn its wearer a compliment. You  can’t escape the attention !!💍

Their Mia range of 14k gold comes in a turquoise box and the designs are drool worthy. But I agree when people say that Tanishq making charges are higher than the standalone jewellery shops, but the latter are no match for Tanishq in terms of design and customer service. Come 14 Feb, Valentines Day and the Mia stores are swamped with couples selecting jewellery.

But Tanishq is not the first brand I owned from Titan. Jewellery purchases came several salaries later. My first purchase from Titan was a watch. The Titan story starts with watches and thereafter they branched out to jewellery. Mine was a simple gold strapped watch from their very successful Titan Raga collection, even after several years, the sheen has not faded.

The kid’s first watch was a Titan and same is the story with millions of other Indians. It is a household name and an indispensable part of our being. They have a colourful range of watches for kids called Zoop; perfect gifting options for kids. My younger nephew loved his yellow strap Zoop watch, during the initial days he  insisted on wearing it at all times, used to remove it  only while taking bath and going to bed😊

With the advent of mobile phones, the demand for alarm clocks may have died out, but watches remain in vogue. Titan has a multi-brand retail watch store called Helios and because the watch is more a statement piece in the corporate world, as you advance up the corporate ladder, you once again come back to Titan Helios to make your mark.

Then came the Fastrack range of sunglasses and bags; I have not bought either of this, but have been a customer at their Titan Eye Plus shops for spectacles and bottles of their specs cleaning liquid.

Later they brought out fragrances – Skinn range of perfumes. They bear an affordable price tag and are my goto option if I want to gift a fragrance.

They then launched their handloom sari range – Taneira; a new offering from Titan and hence the shops are limited to a few cities. I ventured to their showroom on 100 ft road in Indiranagar in Bangalore. Their customer service is outstanding. I loved the sari shopping experience at Taneira and am looking forward to going back again soon. I am waiting for a reason to buy more saris😬. More in this post 👉Taneira – Indulgences in Silk

What I love about the brand is that, it is Made in India, but has a global appeal. Be it watches, jewellery or saris, you wear it with pride. Titan brand is both affordable and aspirational; they keep changing with the times and it appeals to Gen X, Y and Z alike. ❤️

A recent acquisition was a smart watch for the kid, his second Titan watch (they had an exchange offer in July).

The products from Titan for me are small gifts to myself and others, they are clearly not a need, more an indulgence now and then. Next is the story behind this remarkable brand.

Till next post, take care !!
