Social is one of the recent additions to Bangalore’s dining out options. The restaurant at Sarjapur is on the 7th floor and as you step out of the lift (so many people and so little space) and walk in for the first time, a smile naturally blooms as you see the large french windows opening to the city skyline. The open air seating with wicker chairs, floral print cushions, green sofas and cool breeze gives you the feeling of being on the front porch of some old colonial bungalow. And this is just one of the seating options.

Further in, you can opt to sit in air-conditioning comfort. Else walk up a sweeping staircase to the first floor and there you have the bar and games area; keep walking and you come to a space for working – plug-in your laptop and play.

We settled down in the open air zone and asked for the menu; it came rolled up like a newspaper.

And finally the food…😋
The Breakfast Trays at Social are highly recommended and we tried the Sid’s Very Posh Breakfast, was filling and delicious. It had everything – 2 eggs (asked for mushroom omelette), baked beans, grilled tomato, hash browns, bacon & sausages, toast with butter and jam, complete with tea. Breakfast is served till 7:30 pm…😋

Classic Momos for non-veg starters.

The kid had the OMG Burger – the description of which started like ….”What’s worth doing is worth overdoing..”; the burger was juicy and good.

For a veg starter, we tried the Vada Pao Bao, was nice too.

What was disappointing was the Thai Thali, the less said the better.

To make up for the disappointment, they gave the dessert free; a nice gesture !!

The setting is relaxed, courteous staff and prompt service, make Social a good place to venture out !!
Till next post take care !!
