In transit to Fiji

Fiji is far away and this realisation dawned when I saw the flight bookings. There are no direct flights and the transit time in another country is a tempting opportunity to spend a day or two exploring that place also. So we  planned 2 days in Hong Kong en route Fiji. This would be our second visit to Hong Kong and traveling in three new airlines this time !!

The air travel has been booked as follows:

To Fiji : Cathay Dragon – Bangalore to Hong Kong

& Fiji Airways –  Hong Kong to Nadi (Fiji)

From Fiji: Korean Air – Nadi to Incheon (South Korea) & Incheon to Mumbai

Air India – Mumbai to Kochi

Cathay Dragon, Fiji Airways and Korean Air – three new airline experiences and among the three Korean Air was a standout.

Cathay Dragon, a subsidiary of Cathay Pacific and headquartered in Hong Kong; was a night flight, taking off from Bangalore at 1:30 am and landing in Hong Kong in the morning at 9:30 am.

Hong Kong International Airport is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. It is one of my favourite destinations and the decor has changed since the last visit and is again vibrant as ever !!
